Q: What will a professional organizer do for me?

A: A professional organizer is someone who provides information, products and support to individuals and families, assisting them in creating a simpler, more efficient living space. The environment an organizer creates should reflect who clients are and what's important to them; it should match their needs and make living and working easier on a daily basis.

Q: What hapens when you come out to my home for the initial assessment?

A: The initial assessment usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half and costs $75. You and I will tour your space and discuss the areas that you feel are not working for you. You and I will talk about what specific problems you may be having and what it is you hope to create. I will give you tips and techniques along the way that I can immediately see would make a difference, and when you and I are done, I will sit down and create a plan to help you get organized. I will then give you approximate time frames to organize each area we looked at, and then you and I will talk about how to get started.

Q: After the assessment, how often will we work together and how does it work?

A: You and I will work side by side on particular tasks, and then I will give you homework to complete between each session. I suggest making regulary scheduled (weekly) visits to keep on track. The more consistent you and I are about appointments, the more quickly you will make progress. I work in four-hour blocks of time and have hourly rates and discounted package rates.

Q: How much does a professional organizer charge for their services?

A: Charges are very competitively priced. The average rates for Professional Organizers are $50 to $250 per hour. My rate is $65 an hour, but most of my clients take advantage of one of my packages, which are discounted. I will explain the options when we discuss the estimated time frames and plans for each area that needs organizing.
